2006 Recipients Matthew Sherertz (Age 31) Matthew was critically injured in a motorcycle accident. He was life flighted to Hermann Hospital, where Dr. James H. “Red” Duke and his trauma team performed five major surgeries in a nine hour operation in an effort to save his life.

Read His Update...Mike Boyd (Age 45) In March of 2005, Mike was diagnosed very large and rare brain tumor. Mike was hospitalized from April 4th to May 12, 2005. During this time, they removed 60-70% of the tumor and it was confirmed that the tumor was malignant.
Read His Story...Owen Joseph “Boo” Borne, V was born on Thursday, April 15, 2004 weighing 2 pounds and 5 ounces. His mother had pre-eclampsia at 23 weeks of pregnancy and was on bed rest until 28 weeks, at which time he was taken by emergency C-section.
